Eligibility Criteria for TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2022 – 2023

TNPSC Group 1 Exam Educational Qualification

Any Degree from a recognized university.

Final year students can also apply for this Job.

The degree should be obtained in SSLC + HSC or its equivalent + UG Degree Pattern.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam Age Limit

To apply for this post Minimum age is 21 Years, the Maximum age is 37 years for SC/ST/BC/MBC, and Others- 32 Years.

For candidates possessing BL Degree 36 Years (BC/MBC/SC/ST) and 31 Years (Others)

Selection Procedure of TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2022

TNPSC Group 1 Examination is divided into three stages i.e Prelims, Mains, and finally Personal Interview.

The merit list will be prepared based only on the Main examination and Interview Marks.

The preliminary examination will not be considered in the final selection list.

TNPSC Group 1: Prelims Exam Pattern
General Studies 175 Questions 262.5 Marks
Aptitude & Mental Ability 25 Questions 37.5 Marks
Total 200 Questions 300 Marks
  • Stage-2: Main Examination (Descriptive Types) Three Papers in General Studies. Each paper will have questions for 250 Marks (3 hours each) Old Mains Paper – More Details
  • Stage-3: Interview 100 Marks

General mental ability may not be there for the Group-1 mains exam.

TNPSC Group 1 Main Written Exam Details 2022

Stay Granted to contact Group-1 Main exams by Madras High court. TNPSC has no answer for the following questions raised by the Petitioner. So the court has ordered interim bans for conducting the written examination.

    My daughter wrote the group-1 exam by 3rd march 2019, and we are a BC community and 3 marks only less to enter the main exam. But now there is a case is in pending and TNPSC agreed that there are 24 questions were wrong. so now according to the case will there be any chance for her to get these 3 more marks to enter the main exam? please advise.
